About the artist

“As children, my siblings and I watched countless episodes of ‘The Joy of Painting’ with Bob Ross… and I’m still a believer in his philosophy of “we don’t make mistakes - just happy little accidents.” While I picked up some quirky life advice, I didn’t actually pick up a paintbrush until many years later. As a software engineer by profession, I have always been drawn to the creative process and the emotions that a design can provoke, whether that design is digital or canvas.

Experimenting with traditional art mediums has lent immense creative freedom to my work. I am inspired by vivid colors, abstract patterns, and the beautiful - rainy, wild, evergreen - Pacific Northwest. My watercolor art was born from painting bright and lively spring florals on particularly grey and gloomy Seattle days - my “happy little trees” and happy little flowers. When I’m not painting or coding, you can find me chasing after my three little ones, with my nose in a book, exploring the outdoors with friends, or cozying up on the couch with a cup of coffee.”
